Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best time to travel to Laos?

The best time to travel to Laos is during the cool and dry season, from November to February. During this period, the weather is more comfortable, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F), making it ideal for exploring cities, temples, and natural attractions.

  • - November to February: Pleasant weather with minimal rainfall, perfect for outdoor activities and exploring destinations like Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng, and the Bolaven Plateau.
  • - March to May: Hot and dry, with temperatures often exceeding 35°C (95°F). While it can be less comfortable, this time is great for river trips and exploring higher-altitude regions.
  • - June to October: The rainy season brings lush, green landscapes and full rivers, ideal for nature lovers and those seeking off-peak travel. However, some remote areas might be difficult to access due to heavy rains.

Can you give me advice about the Weather and anything else that I need to take care of?

During the rainy season (June - October), Laos can experience storms and occasional flooding, especially in rural areas.

Travel Tips: Check weather forecasts regularly, stay informed about local advisories, and have a flexible itinerary in case of delays. Always keep emergency contacts handy.

What are the best places to visit in Laos?

  • Luang Prabang: A charming city filled with ancient temples, colonial architecture, and breathtaking waterfalls.
  • Vang Vieng: A natural paradise known for its stunning limestone mountains, caves, and the Nam Song River.
  • Vientiane: The capital city, offering a blend of traditional temples and French colonial architecture.
  • Bolaven Plateau: A lush highland region famous for its coffee plantations, waterfalls, and ethnic villages.
  • Plain of Jars: A mysterious archaeological site featuring ancient stone jars scattered across rolling hills.
  • Si Phan Don (4,000 Islands): A serene river archipelago perfect for relaxation, boat trips, and dolphin spotting.
  • Pakse: A tranquil town serving as the gateway to the Bolaven Plateau, with stunning temples and waterfalls nearby.

Can the itinerary be customized to my preferences?

We organize tailor-made tours so we can adjust the itinerary based on your request. Please let us know your preferences.

How are the political and security conditions for travelers in Laos?

Laos is a safe and politically stable destination for travelers, with low crime rates and minimal political unrest. Petty thefts can occur in tourist areas, so basic precautions are advisable. In rural regions, especially around the Plain of Jars, unexploded landmines from past conflicts remain, so it's important to stick to marked paths. Healthcare facilities are limited, so travel insurance is recommended. During the rainy season (June to October), flooding and landslides can impact travel plans. Overall, with a bit of caution, Laos offers a peaceful and welcoming environment for visitors.

Are flights included in the trip? Could you quote a package including flight tickets?

Tour price does not include international and domestic airfare. Airfares will be quoted and booked separately.

Is tipping customary in Laos?

Tipping is not customary in Laos, but it is appreciated, especially in the hospitality and tourism sectors. While locals do not generally expect tips, leaving a small amount for good service can be seen as a kind gesture. In restaurants, rounding up the bill or leaving a 5-10% tip is common if the service charge is not included. For hotel staff, guides, and drivers, small tips are a nice way to show your appreciation, though not required.

How can I book a tour?

All travel itineraries are fully customized to meet your specific needs. To book a tour, you can reach us via:

Our travel consultants will respond with the best options within 1-2 hours and await your confirmation.

If we confirm our booking, when will be the last day for transferring the deposit?

If you wish to book the trip, you will need to confirm your booking decision to us by specifying the offer and quotation that suits you. Then we proceed with the reservation of all the services provided in the offer and reserve the right to propose equivalent alternatives in case of one or more planned services (accommodation, domestic flights, train, etc.). Once all these reservations have been made, the final travel program will be sent to the traveler for final validation.

How can I process the payment/Tour reservation process? Payment Method?

You can deposit using one of two methods:

  1. Payment link: The money will arrive in our account right after you pay. The link charges a 3.3% online system fee (we don't take this fee).
  2. Bank transfer: We suggest using this method. If you pay in VND by DBS bank, it doesn't charge you a transfer fee (our previous clients have used this method successfully).
